FJust when I thought it was going to be a not so crazy week in Oklahoma City, BAM! I took a closer look and there’s some pretty great stuff happening. And once again, with variety and for so many demographics. I love it!

Friday is Summer Solstice. It will be the longest day of the year. Sunrise is at 6:15am. Sunset is at 8:48pm. What will you do for the longest day of the year?

Don’t forget to tune into Eggman in the Morning with Shawn Carey on KZLS 99.7 The True Oldies Channel every Wednesday morning at 7:30am.

My month in Instagrams – May 2013

This is something new I’m going to start. I’ve become an Instagram fanatic! I think these images can sum up my month’s experience better than words! But here are words to summarize:

First Friday in Paseo, a KFOR interview with Ali, (@amanchor), Kentucky Derby, Ladybugs, Silo Art Project, Eggman, Captain Lucky the foster dog, Amtrak Heartland Flyer to Ft. Worth, remembering Carolyn Hill, saying goodbye to Camp Cimarron, a sudden heartbreaking death, Memorial Day weekend at the lake, and an insane weather month.

I encourage you to get on Instagram today! Look for me @lesliesokc!

What’s Happening Wednesday: Walks | Festivals | Burgers | Kolaches | Baseball | Thunder | Science | Music | Theatre | Art Walks & a Festival | Cirque | Free Museum Admission | Kentucky Derby | River Cruises and … LADY BUGS!

Oooohhhh mah goodness! Wow! So much happening this weekend and … IN MAY! Here’s all that I found. If I’m missing something please let me know. Even though this posts out on my social media platforms I can still go in and update my blog posts. Please do not hesitate to email leslie@lesliesokc.com. My sources are EVERYTHING: People, newspapers, radio, tv, internet, FACEBOOK INVITES (19 this week alone!), eblasts and more … I think it’s safe to say that we’re all great promoters of our individual events. We take such great pride. Okay, enough! It’s late on Tuesday and I have to get up and be ON for my Eggman in the Morning on KZLS 99.7 the True Oldies channel. I kind of flubbed up my interview! Can’t be on all the time!

PS. Watch me on KFOR with Ali Meyer this Thursday at 6AM to promote First Friday Gallery Walk in Paseo. I’ll have Mother’s Day gift ideas from the artists!

What’s Happening Wednesday with the Eggman & ME!

I’m super pumped! Today I started a standing radio gig with an old radio friend Eggman in The Morning on OKC’s True Oldies channel. He is sooo funny! Funny men are my weakness. I laugh at anything they say, even if it’s just ‘hi.’ He invited me to come on to tell their listeners everything that’s going on in Oklahoma City for the weekend leading up and boy do I love telling people where to go! Here’s a recap of what we talked about broken down into categories of what, I dunno!
